1. At the same time as our meeting, the Michigan Women's Hall of Fame were having their annual picnic next door at Cooley Gardens. The parking lot was more than crowded. 2. Six members displayed their coins and paper money in our mini-bourse which lasted for 45 minutes, starting at 7:30 pm. Just about anything could be found from the 1800's to the present. It was very informal with members milling around tables, looking, chatting, and buying. Below you see the tables that were set up. 3. Our regular meeting began at 8:15 pm. as President Kissee cracked the gavel. 4. Sec/Tres Tom K. was busy and could not attend so the usual communications portion was scraped. 5. No descision as yet has been made as to whether or not our club will be a co-host for The MSNS Show next Spring. Dany did report that this show will be held at the Hyatt in Dearborn for at least another two years. 6. Discussion followed regarding the mini-bourse; Was it a success? Was it well received? How could it be improved? Do we want to do it again? Most seemed to like it. It was suggested that we have our regular meeting format in September and go to the mini-bourse again in October. An overwhelming majority agreed. 7. Door prizes, Lugnut tickets, were won by Curtis, Matt, Dave, Willie (non-member), and Bonnie. Also 3 silver coins graciously donated by our President were won by Paul, Ray, and Jane. 8. Another mention was made regarding getting new people to attend our meetings. Terry said he will donate 1960-63 Franklin Halves, BU, to any new person who comes. And Dany said he would bring some new coin albums to donate as well. So, anyone who reads this and has never attended one of our meetings and would like a free coin and a free coin album come to our September meeting. It starts at 7:30 pm at the Scott Center. Click on"Meetings" and "Directions" in the main menu to find out more.9. Good news. Bob S. is doing fine. 10. Meeting adjourned at 8:47 pm. There were 24 in attendance including one non-member. 11. This was our last meeting until we resume again in September. Enjoy your summer!
