APRIL 12TH MEETING NOTES
1. This meeting took place at 8:30 am on the 16th floor of the Hyatt Regency in Dearborn where the MSNS
Convention was held. It was a joint meeting with the Livingston Coin Club, co-sponsor with us of this Spring
Show. Below are some pictures that show the great view we experienced from this high plateau.
Hotel in Background Notice the Ambassador Bridge far away.
The Parking Lot at Fairlane Center. Another Parking Lot Picture.
The World Headquarters of Ford. Downtown Detroit in the Distance.
These pictures would have been so much nicer had the morning not been overcast and drizzly.
2. Below shows our breakfast set-up.
4. At 8:30 am Tom had everyone introduce themselves and then, of course, the first item of "business" was
breakfast. We had scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes and coffee, juices, and a variety of sweets treats.
5. After eating, Tom called the meeting to order. Nominations for the MSNS Board were opened. Tom and Dany
were again nominated. We wish them good fortune when the voting takes place at a later time.
6. It is time to think about another Lugnuts game in July. More on this at the next meeting.
7. We then had our usual drawing of the silver door prizes which were Canadian Dollars shown below.
They were won by Bonnie, Bob E., John C., John T., and Greg.
8. Our meeting wouldn't be complete if we didn't have our monthly auction so, Tom, acting as our auctioneer,
quickly went through the lots. Some of the items that sold were; A 1997 Tenth Gold Eagle for $92.50; A 1962
Proof Set for $12.00; and a German 1938E 2 Marks that escaped for $15.00.
9. The meeting lasted no more than 30 minutes so everyone could get back to the show.
10. Pictures of the two groups that attended are shown below.
